Staci’s experience with The Job Exchange: Staci first learned of The Job Exchange in 1998. Her mother in-law had been placed at AON Consulting by Lori many years ago. Staci contacted Lori and within a week had an interview. Staci was placed at First Data in King of Prussia and worked there for 2.5 years. Staci fondly remembers the kindness and transparency of Lori and her staff. Even though Staci didn’t stay at that first job, The Job Exchange always showed a willingness to help her move on. Staci remembers the expertise and skill as Lori would help her navigate the interview, offer and negotiation phase of the job search. No matter what the job presented, Staci always was offered over the listed salary, often within hours of the interview. Staci notes that she is a firm believer that the most important thing you can do as a candidate is sell yourself in an interview and present your worth and potential.
Staci’s Advice for Job Seekers: The job market can seem a little overwhelming right now, so it is important that you don’t settle just because you need a job. Keep searching until you find something that suits your personality and has potential for you to grow. Secondly, I suggest finding a mentor that will pour into your potential growth and advocate for you. It may take some time to find someone that you really click with, but be diligent and show your worth, it pays off! And, of course, if you love what you are doing, you will always be willing to go above and beyond!
